ELCS team is cognizant of the foundation role of education sector for social and economic development, human capital growth, and poverty reduction. Despite marked improvements in the education sector in the past two decades in Afghanistan, serious challenges persist around access to education, particularly for girls and women, alignment of curricula with labor market needs, teacher capacity. A lack of evidence use in decision-making, limited local research, and un-contextualized education models hinder the sector’s performance and responsiveness. The ELCS Academy transform workforce capacity through market-driven, locally relevant training programs that bridge the gap between education and employment. Addressing outdated curricula and misaligned donor-driven capacity building models, ELCS offers curriculum modernization, demand-driven training and certification pathways, mentorship, and blended learning solutions, combining blended learning approaches (face to face online and on the job training)
