Afghanistan Overview
Since 2002, there has been a huge influx of foreign aid in the form of development assistance targeting different sectors. As a result of implementation of development and humanitarian projects, there is marked improvements in development indicators for the country. Improved population’s access to basic social services including heath, education, housing is observed over time since the intervention of international community after 2001. While these projects have impacted the lives of many Afghans, lack of documentary evidence and research capacity to measure progress on these fronts greatly affects planning and implementation of these projects.
